From the plush greenery of Colombia’s coffee country to the wild beauty of the Costa Rican jungle, the road from South to North America is paved with some pretty spectacular views. Scenes that’ve been beautifully captured on camera in a series of candid shots by London-based photographer Emily Scarlett Romain, who then turned the stunning photoset into an exhibition called Stay Free in east London.
For four months, Emily was on the road. Travelling by plane, shuttle, boat, rickshaw, bike and chicken bus, she weaved her way from Colombia through Belize, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama before ending her epic trip in Mexico.
Her series of 35mm stills capturing a moment of calm among the blur of adventure– which became the subject of an exhibition called – perfectly portray the colour and vibrancy of where the two continents meet.
