From The Grand Budapest Hotel to Prada’s iconic Candy ad campaign, director Wes Anderson has made his body of work synonymous with pastel shades and saccharine pinks to make your mouth water. Not surprising then, that a cafe in the Philippines has taken inspiration from his set design and plastered its interiors in soft ice-cream tones, resulting in a visual feast to accompany your morning coffee.
Caffe Congreso in the city of Malolos has opted for candy-pink coloured walls and booths, punctuated with flashes of mint green for an on-trend interiors look that combines the colours of the season. Its menu is similarly picturesque, too, featuring petite apple pies, matcha milkshakes and strawberries and cream all as snappable as the cafe walls. If you want your brekkie served with an extra dose of Instagrammable decor, this Far Eastern design cafe is where it’s at.
